This is my "Ancient Egyptian" paint stick. Didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted it to, but, that's good that I had a practice round so I know
what I have to do to change it for the real thing. The gold paint didn't stick very well. The brush would take it off the stick,
when I tried to spread it around. So I decided to let it dry, but when I came back to work on it the next morning it still spread around.
So I just painted the over it it with the hieroglyfics.
My tablet didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted it to. I didn't know it would be so hard to paint the hieroglyfics without messing up.
I dropped the paint brush twice on my tablet, and red paint was everywhere. I tried painting over it, but it didn't exactly work.
Then, when I went to put another coat of gold on my tablet, it was the wrong color! And you can totally see the brush strokes.
In the end, my tablet turned out good though.
I chose the words, creative, smart, and volleyball.
The reason I chose the word creative is because it was the first word that popped into my head when I think of myself.
I do creative things everyday and I really enjoy it. I also picked volleyball because I love it, and it's my favorite sport. Then I was stumped. I couldn't think of any other words. So I looked through the Le Diante magazine for my brother's tablet to see what words he used.
I saw the word smart. So I used that one. I chose the cat because I love cats, and I really enjoyed the picture of this Egyptian cat on the internet. There was also a beatle on the picture, and it looked realy cool. I'm pretty proud of my cat and beatle though, they look the coolest.
The Bunny A few months ago, my cousins and aunt and uncle came to visit. My two-year-old cousin Liam wanted to go outside. So I helped him put on his coat and hat and shoes and we headed outside. We walked slowly down my long driveway as I held his hand. He pointed at geese that flew above us and I told him what they were, and what their name was. He tried a few times to say geese. It was so cute! When we came to the end of the driveway, I was ready to turn around when Liam laughed and pointed to the right. I looked over and a little brown bunny was sitting in the grass staring at us. He laughed again and ran over to it. “Wait Liam!” I said. “You have to be very quiet otherwise he’ll run away.” I put my finger up to my mouth. “Shh.” He repeated the word quiet and shushed too. When we took another step towards the bunny it raced away into a pine tree. Liam was confused. “Where bunny go?” He kept asking. “He went into the bushes.” I told him. He stood there for a few seconds looking around. The only way I could get him back inside was to say that he should tell “mommy and daddy”. He was excited to tell them, and we went back inside. And believe it our not, I couldn’t get him to tell his parents (my aunt and uncle) about the bunny. He was already out on a different adventure. Discovering that the piano could play music.
